Donna, Thanks so much for reading it - and so pleased you enjoyed it. Have to apologize that my hat doesn't quite come up to the HIGH bar set by Mrs. Cherry - but at least I had a hat - which was lucky, since it was a cold, wet day in Positano.

Lovely photos, Randy, and interesting contrasts between “then” and “now”. As someone who has lived much of my adult life in a drought-afflicted area, that was the first thing I thought of when I saw ERC’s paintings of the area: they must’ve been suffering a drought then! E.

It certainly can be dry there - though for us it was a little too wet many days. You should have seen us on the day we went to Ravello - and foolishly decided that sun at 10 AM would NOT turn into a downpour by NOON - and carried neither raincoats nor umbrellas. Wet rats would have pitied us - and "wet rats" described us! Don't you wish you'd been there? We do - though not for the drenched part. We missed you every day. Maybe another time.
