BUT.. David and I attended the superb and thrilling new Don Qixote last week - by the fabulous, famous Cuban Director Carlos Acosta at the Birmingham Royal Ballet.
The magic forest/ delirium, tutu-ed wood nymphs brought me to tears of joy!
Hi Libby - How fab to hear from you. How envious I am that you got to see Acosta's Don Quixote. If only Birmingham were a little closer to Houston. Of course, here in Houston we know Carlos Acosta well - he danced here, with the Houston Ballet, for several of his early years, before decamping to England. We still miss him. And we still miss you, and think of you, and our delightful time together in Brittany, often. Thanks for reading my Substack pieces - and so VERY good hearing from you. Love, Randy & Rick
