I’m making progress on my current needlepoint project, a four-panel piece on the order of the NAUGHTY BOY one I did some years ago, based on drawings by Jean Cocteau and Andy Warhol. This time all the source drawings are by Cocteau, and tell the story of one “hot” night in the life of a French sailor from long ago (a Cocteau alter ego, perhaps?). I’m calling it Naughty AND Nice – A steamy night in Cocteau’s Nice. FYI, the Cocteau photo is just a placeholder until I decide for sure on the fourth drawing – but he does sort of look like an older version of that Sailor of his lusty imaginings, don’t you think?
PS After almost two years of consistent writing, I seem to have hit a wall. You may have noticed that most of my posts for the last little while have been pictures, many of them PARIS WINDOWS, not words.
Can I blame the tumultuous state of the world; the writer’s block I thought I’d left behind after 40 years; the demands of work on the upcoming exhibition THE FABULOUS 50s which will be opening at the end of August? Or maybe just the need for a little break?
Whatever the reason, I hope it will be temporary, and that the words will start flowing again soon. Until they do, thanks to all you subscribers for being with me through these almost two years. I so appreciate your taking the time to glance at my posts, am encouraged when you like them, and go over the moon when you send a comment.
I hope to be back with you soon – sharing words as well as pictures.

OK so I've just realized that when I estate sale in Houston I must always look out for various skin tone shades of yarn for your "naughty bits"
Let’s just call this interlude “Writers’ Break” and enjoy focusing on the upcoming exhibition “THE FABULOUS 50s”! Know I am looking forward to that!
